Job summary

MediLodge of Livingston in Howell, MI is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine building and grounds upkeep and support facility operations. The role focuses on basic maintenance, repairs, and scheduling tasks to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents.

Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma and about one year of building maintenance experience. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is valued, as is the ability to communicate well with residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repair to keep building and equipment in good working order.
• Monitors renovations, remodeling or replacement projects by contractors.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers and dryers, and other equipment under supervision.
• Participates in painting, redecorating, carpentry, concrete and masonry projects.
• Documents routine inspection of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems; maintains weekly facility log for safety compliance.
• Coordinates monthly fire drills and inspects grounds; performs lawn care.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
