Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Pearland, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform routine cleaning in patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, following facility protocols and safety rules. You will use cleaning agents correctly and operate floor-care equipment to maintain a clean environment.

Strong reading/writing in English is required; prior institutional housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions.
• Empties trash containers and replaces liners as appropriate.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
