Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions; may mop floors and dust as needed.
• Empties trash and disposes of waste properly.
• Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Cleans windows and washes/drys as required.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Adheres to Abuse Prevention policy; enforces it with staff.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
