Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors; may spray buff/strip/wax floors as needed per center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior areas, replaces with a clean can liner.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax or dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains/draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dusts/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.).
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath; turns bed mattresses after cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.
