Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation in Augusta, GA seeks a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors. You will perform cleaning in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• None, on-the-job training is provided
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors. May spray buff, strip or wax floors per center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior/interior, replaces liners.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dusts/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath.
