Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role focuses on cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and shared facilities to uphold high standards of hygiene.

You will follow safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and coordinate with supervisory staff to ensure supplies are stocked and tasks are completed efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms on a regular basis.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report any resident safety concerns promptly to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
