Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a kitchen/dietary aide to keep dishes washed, transport food carts on nursing home floors, and maintain clean dining and dishwashing areas. The role requires courteous communication with residents and staff, and maintaining personal cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities include operating a commercial dishwasher, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, and assisting with receiving and storing food orders.

Qualifications

• Must be in good physical condition to perform kitchen duties.
• Able to read and write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

• Operates commercial dishwasher and processes dirty dishes.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, and dining areas.
• Communicates courteously with staff, Residents, family members and visitors.
• Ensures spills are cleaned promptly and reports hazards to supervisor.
• Assists with receiving and storing food orders when requested.
