Newport Academy is a gender‑specific, comprehensive treatment program for adolescents and young adults with co‑occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. The program combines psychological, biological, spiritual, social, and educational components to provide a holistic, individualized approach to care.
We are seeking Care Coordinators to assist and supervise residents with daily activities, monitor behavior, administer medication, and transport residents to and from meetings and appointments. All Care Coordinators will serve as positive role models and must complete required trainings and background checks with DCF and State Police.
Minimum educational requirement: working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in human services, counseling, psychology, or social work, or obtaining a state‑approved credential. Alternatively, a minimum of one year of experience working with adolescents and families with co‑occurring disorders is acceptable.
Must pass trainings and background checks with DCF and State Police. Experience or education in human services, psychology, or substance abuse is a definite plus.
All Care Coordinators are expected to model positive behavior and serve as role models for residents.
