Job summary

New Horizons Behavioral Health in Columbus, Georgia is seeking a qualified Social Services Technician to support adults and children with mental health diagnoses or addictive diseases. You will help identify needs, coordinate care, and connect clients with community resources.

Candidates need a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health or related field — or one year of full‑time experience working with the public.

Job description

Works with the following population: Male and female adults and children with a mental health diagnosis and/or addictive diseases.

Days & Time: This position will work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. Most programs work from 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunchbreak.

Pay: $38,325 to $40,427 per year

Job Responsibilities

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health, or a related discipline -OR- one (1) year of full-time experience as a Social Services Technician. Must have one (1) year of experience working directly with the public. Must have knowledge of healthcare systems, community resources, and patient advocacy.

Preferred Requirements

Previous experience in healthcare, case management, or care coordination.
