Job summary

UF Health Care Coordinator assists patients in coordinating follow-up care with primary care physicians and specialists as needed. The role also supports discharge planning by arranging transportation, referrals, and obtaining necessary authorizations, while delivering patient notices.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (Associates preferred) and strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with a typing speed around 20 wpm.

Qualifications

• Has excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities and capacity to multi-task in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of local community and outpatient resources.
• Proficient with PC applications including Outlook, Word and Excel; typing speed about 20 wpm.

Qualifications

Required Education

• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills in a fast-paced setting
• Detail oriented and above average organisations skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Knowledge of community and outpatient agencies and resources
• Strong personal computer skills (i.e. Outlook, Work, Excel) and good typing skills (20 wpm)

Required Experience

1-2 years clerical, secretarial, or customer service experience or the equivalent.
