Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health Systems seeks a Medical Assistant/Care Coordinator to support direct client care and care coordination for individuals with OUD/SUD and co-occurring mental health conditions. Work spans MOUD administration, intake, vital signs, and lab collection within Mobile Behavioral Health Unit and Clarke outpatient clinic.

The role requires MA certification, 1+ year healthcare experience, and strong EHR skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare, behavioral health, public health, or community health experience.

Responsibilities

• Room clients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, BMI, and screenings.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens per clinic protocols.
• Schedule and collect urine drug screens and record results.
• Document client information in the EHR accurately.
• Report vitals and concerns to RN or prescriber.
• Assist with MOUD medication logging and inventory.
• Maintain efficient client flow throughout the clinic.
• Coordinate care for clients with chronic conditions.
• Schedule appointments, referrals, testing, and follow-ups.
• Conduct outreach to reduce missed appointments.
• Track referrals and follow-up on test results and treatments.
