Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as the Care Coordination RN on the Referral Coordination Team within The Group Practice Manager under the Chief of Staff services located in Marion - IL.

Responsibilities include coordinating outpatient referrals, liaising with providers, and ensuring timely, appropriate care while adhering to VA guidelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Proficient in written and spoken English per VA standards.
• Graduate nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Bridge program option for RN licensure.
• State license required to work as RN in US.
• Temporary GNT path available while pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient referral flow and clinic appointments.
• Serve as liaison between referring providers and specialty services.
• Review referrals for medical necessity and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with clinicians and leaders to facilitate timely care.
• Provide clinical knowledge to multidisciplinary teams.
