Job summary

Touchpoints at Bloomfield is seeking a cook to join their kitchen team. The Cook will prepare meals for facility residents at scheduled times, following sanitation procedures and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities include hot and cold food preparation and beverages, maintaining meal schedules, ensuring food safety and proper temperatures, proper storage, and adhering to facility policies and regulatory requirements; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Prepare large portions of meals.
• Be a supportive team member and promote positive teamwork.
• Be a role model with initiative, tact and cheerful disposition when dealing with residents.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods, meals and beverages including modified textures for restricted and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Insures all food items are handled properly to insure safety and sanitation standards according to state and federal regulations.
• Properly stores, covers, and refrigerates necessary items. Insures that foods are cooked to the appropriate temperatures according to latest FDA Food Code.
• Must perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the Facility’s established policies and procedures and as instructed by Department Head.
• Complies with local, state and federal regulations relating to their responsibilities, including the Code of Conduct, Resident Rights and Corporate Compliance; serves as a mandatory reporter of all resident related incidents
