In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

Job Description

  • Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living.
  • Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set out by the supervisor.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents.
  • Document daily assistance logs.
  • Inform the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents.
  • Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working in senior care.
  • Proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Possession of a CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.
