Job summary

Bluebird Care Sheffield is hiring a Care Assistant to support customers in their own homes with daily living activities and compassionate care. You will work with an independent or team-based approach, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients while following agreed care plans.

Induction is provided and ongoing expert training is offered. Flexible shifts include early and late patterns, with uniforms and PPE supplied to support high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
