Job summary

Marine View Lodge Care Home in New Brighton, Merseyside, is seeking a Care Assistant to provide person-centred care to residents with dignity and respect.

You will support daily living needs, including personal care, mobility and nutrition, following care plans and monitoring changes. Training and ongoing development are provided within a warm, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans, recognise changes in condition and contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, respectful environment.
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends.

Job description

Marine View Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 80 bed care home in New Brighton, Merseyside, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36-48 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
