Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Registration Specialist to support patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes within our hospital network. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and ensure accurate data entry to facilitate prompt, accurate billing and efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, maintaining documentation, and complying with JCAHO, Title XXII, Medicare and Medi-Cal regulations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years in medical office or business services with demonstrated above-standard performance in billing, front office, scheduling, account follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Process patient demographics, visits, and financial information to maximize reimbursement.
• Coordinate scheduling and bed control to assure appropriate patient placement.
• Manage registration and billing to ensure timely, accurate billing and HIPAA compliance.
• Print routes and manage room/resource assignments to optimize department efficiency.
• Communicate delays or issues to leadership and other departments as needed.
