Job summary

CardVault by Tom Brady is hiring a Store Manager in Chicago to direct all store operations, authenticate collectibles, and lead a sales-driven team.

You will ensure exceptional customer service, manage merchandising, and coordinate with leadership on inventory and policies while maintaining compliance and a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of sports and/or trading cards.
• Minimum of two years store manager experience in a similar environment.
• High school Diploma/GED required; college degree preferred.
• Ability to lead and be part of a successful store team.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must meet or exceed sales and guest service standards.
• Must be comfortable working and speaking with the public.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail systems.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Directing all store operations.
• Researching, authenticating trading cards by condition and quality.
• Coaching and motivating team to drive sales and customer service.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with product knowledge.
• Deliver sales, customer experience, merchandising, and operational expectations.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, sales associates and CardVault leadership.
• Learn and share product knowledge and trends to fit customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of product knowledge and current/upcoming trends.
• Maintain patron satisfaction and relationships with preferred patrons.
• Recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining staff; enforce policies.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy facility environment; comply with regulations.
• Delegate authority and manage subordinates; establish personnel standards.
• Address patrons' complaints and resolve problems.
• Maintain licenses and permits where required.
• Handle cash, reconcile drawers, and perform opening/closing duties.
• Ensure security of merchandise and minimize shrinkage.
• Coordinate with Inventory/Logistics on inventory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

As a Store Manager, a typical day might include the following:

• Directing all store operations


• Researching, identifying and authenticating collectible trading cards by assessing the condition and quality of the item using established standards


• Coaching and motivating your team to drive sales that deliver exceptional customer service


• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service


• Delivering sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations


• Acting as a partner between customers, sales associates and CardVault leadership


• Learning and sharing expertise of products and trends to fit customer’s needs


• Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends


• Maintaining patron satisfaction and builds relationships with preferred patrons


• Accomplishing human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management and hourly staff; Cleary communicates job expectations; enforces policies and procedures


• Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations


• Delegating authority, assigning responsibilities and effectively managing subordinates


• Establishing standards for personnel administration and performance


• Answering patrons' complaints and resolving problems


• Maintaining all necessary license and permits


• General cash handling, reconciling cash drawers and safes, and performing opening and closing duties to company standard


• Ensuring the security of all merchandise


• Minimizing shrinkage, identifying and reducing loss


• Coordinating with the CardVault Director of Inventory and Logistics regarding inventory management


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and ability lift/carry up to 30 lbs
