Job summary

Archer in partnership with JPMorgan Chase seeks an Associate to shape credit risk strategies across the card product lifecycle. You will lead quantitative and qualitative analyses, translating insights into policy recommendations and partnering with underwriting, account management, and collections.

This role emphasizes rigorous analytics, executive storytelling, governance, and ensuring risk appetite alignment.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 3+ years of analytics, risk strategy, or related roles (3–7 years preferred).
• Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving and the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Apply SQL and at least one analytics tool such as SAS, Python, or R (Tableau is ok for visualization).
• Build repeatable monitoring/insight routines to track performance and risk signals.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; prepare executive summaries.
• Present complex findings with concise PowerPoint storytelling and business conclusions.
• Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with strong PM skills.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build durable partnerships.
• Exhibit initiative and sound judgment in decision-making and escalation.
• Maintain authorization to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analytics to measure and improve key business initiatives.
• Define problem statements, hypotheses, and success metrics.
• Develop and refine credit program policies and processes.
• Analyze customer and portfolio performance trends using statistical methods.
• Conduct root-cause analyses to diagnose performance shifts and leverage actionable levers.
• Design ongoing monitoring and reporting for origination quality and portfolio health.
• Translate analytics into concise recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
• Partner cross-functionally to secure stakeholder buy-in and drive rollout.
• Strengthen operational controls by identifying gaps and validating outcomes.
• Support the risk management framework with governance and compliance alignment.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to improve risk processes.
