Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist

Salary: $32.00 - $46.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently perform non-invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diagnostic studies using ultrasound and related technologies.
- Record results and clinical preliminary impressions accurately and promptly for each examination.
- Assist in specialized procedures including transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, stress testing, carotid, transcranial duplex scans, aortal, and renal duplex scans.
- Regularly interact with healthcare professionals and families to discuss patient care and outcomes.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology to accurately identify and diagnose conditions.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety guidelines to maintain high standards of care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Registration with ARDMS as a RVT or RDCS, or with CCI as an RCS or RVS is required.
- Current BLS certification, ACLS certification within six months of employment.
- Proven ability to perform a range of cardiovascular ultrasound examinations with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic procedures and protocols related to cardiovascular sonography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Capability to resolve complex clinical and technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting focused on cardiovascular care.
- Advanced certifications related to cardiovascular technology and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train new staff in cardiovascular ultrasound techniques.
- Experience with both hospital and outpatient settings.
- Commitment to continuing education in medical sonography and patient care best practices.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, especially in emergency scenarios.
