Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, seeks a Cardiovascular Technician (Certified) for a per diem, day shift position in the Electrophysiology department. The role involves scrubbing procedures and monitoring physiologic data under a Cardiologist/Radiologist guidance.

The position requires ARRT-R or RCIS license, prior cardiovascular lab experience, BCLS, and ACLS within 30 days. Per diem status with a competitive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

  • ARRT-R and state license or RCIS required.
  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
  • Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
  • BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
  • Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure and monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures

Per Diem l Days

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. 2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred. 3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred. 4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. 6. Proficient computer skills.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $34.50 to $38.25 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
