Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Cardiovascular Technology professional for a part-time Cath Lab/EP Lab role in Jacksonville, FL. You will assist in preparing, performing, and completing diagnostic and interventional procedures under physician supervision, using a range of specialized devices and imaging systems.

The ideal candidate has a Cardiovascular Technology or Radiography program background, 2+ years Cath Lab/EP Lab experience, and current CVT/RTR credentials with ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiography program.
• Two years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience preferred.
• Current CVT or RTR credentials required; ACLS and BLS certifications on hire.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, performing, and completing diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures under physician supervision.
• Ensure safety guidelines and promote teamwork; adapt to flexible duties.
• Maintain equipment knowledge including angiography devices and imaging systems.
• Work hours include varied shifts with on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

Assists in performing all duties associated with preparing, performing, and completing a diagnostic and/or interventional angiographic procedure under the supervision of a physician. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology including TAVR, Mitral Clip, Watchman, PFO closure, atherectomy devices, thrombectomy devices, IVUS, FFR, iFR, IABP, and Impella. Responsible for all aspects of patient care that are in accordance with the hospital and department policies. Practices safety guidelines for patients, colleagues, support personnel, and self. Fosters teamwork through effective communication and flexibility in job duties. 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiography program with cardiac experience required. Previous Cath Lab or EP Lab experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a cardiac-focused educational background. Two years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, efficiency, a collaborative team-oriented approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work varied hours and shift lengths is required.

Current CVT or RTR credentials are required, along with ACLS and BLS certifications upon hire. RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Schedule Details

Monday-Friday; 10hr shifts with hours varying between 6:45am-5:15pm, days vary. On call and late shifts as needed. Must live within 30 minutes of campus.

Weekend Schedule

Weekend/Holiday on call. Call days can cover a 24-hour period for consecutive days.
