Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a part-time cardiovascular laboratory professional to support diagnostic and interventional angiography procedures. Qualified candidates will have CVT or RTR credentials, RCIS certification within six months, and ACLS/BLS. Flexibility for varied hours and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiography program.
• Two years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing all duties for diagnostic and interventional angiographic procedures under physician supervision.
• Operate and be competent with equipment used in advanced procedures (TAVR, Mitral Clip, Watchman, PFO closure, atherectomy, thrombectomy, IVUS, FFR, iFR, IABP, Impella).
• Ensure patient care aligns with hospital policies and safety guidelines for patients and staff.
• Foster teamwork and clear communication; adapt to varying duties and schedules.

Responsibilities

Assists in performing all duties associated with preparing, performing, and completing a diagnostic and/or interventional angiographic procedure under the supervision of a physician. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology including TAVR, Mitral Clip, Watchman, PFO closure, atherectomy devices, thrombectomy devices, IVUS, FFR, iFR, IABP, and Impella. Responsible for all aspects of patient care that are in accordance with the hospital and department policies. Practices safety guidelines for patients, colleagues, support personnel, and self. Fosters teamwork through effective communication and flexibility in job duties. 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiography program with cardiac experience required. Previous Cath Lab or EP Lab experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a cardiac-focused educational background. Two years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, efficiency, a collaborative team-oriented approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work varied hours and shift lengths is required.

Current CVT or RTR credentials are required, along with ACLS and BLS certifications upon hire. RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Schedule Details

Monday-Friday; 10hr shifts with hours varying between 6:45am-5:15pm, days vary. On call and late shifts as needed. Must live within 30 minutes of campus.

Weekend Schedule

Weekend/Holiday on call. Call days can cover a 24-hour period for consecutive days.
