Job summary

Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular radiological procedures. The CVT will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safe, accurate patient care and may cross-train into other modalities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required prior to orientation.
• Minimum of one year CVT experience preferred; Cath Lab experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CVT procedures accurately and promptly, documents required information, and communicates with primary physician and care staff.
• Coordinates and assists patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
• Evaluates patient condition to adequately perform procedures and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains clinical equipment and supplies in safe, efficient use and participates in quality control and improvement programs.
• Participates in staff development, peer review, and interdepartmental coordination.
