Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated healthcare assistant to support adult and geriatric patients. Under supervision, you will assist with aseptic procedures, transport post-catheterization patients, and perform various ancillary duties while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of heart anatomy and physiology through LPN with med training, or 2 years of EKG program.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families and physicians.
• Basic Life Support experience required.
• 4–6 months on-the-job training in ECG interpretation, aseptic techniques and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptically preparing authorization site and perform technical duties as assigned.
• Transport patients post catheterization to designated destinations.
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Carry out additional ancillary duties as assigned day-to-day.
