Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist utilizes medical, technical, and administrative skills to support the patient care team. Under the general direction of the Manager, Cardiovascular Services, and the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, Cardiac Cath Lab, provides physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.

• Participates in developing care plans for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or intervention.
• Performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment.
• Operates radiology imaging equipment, including storing images, burning CDs, archiving, and calculating ejection fraction from LV gram.
• Ensures radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Operates MAC LAB hemodynamic monitoring system.
• Prepares patients, scrubs, and pans for various coronary and peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.

Qualifications needed:

• RCIS or R.T. (R) (ARRT); NH Medical Imaging License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum one to two years of cath lab experience preferred.
