Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to perform EKGs, apply and process cardiac monitors, and support daily clinical operations. You will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure accurate documentation and patient education while delivering high-quality cardiovascular services.

You will be part of a team that emphasizes safety, professionalism, and compassionate care, with a 40-hour workweek on day shifts and potential on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer and data entry skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform and accurately record EKGs.
• Apply and monitor cardiac monitoring devices.
• Educate patients on proper use of cardiac monitors.
• Identify cardiac rhythms and monitor abnormalities.
• Maintain documentation of tracings and monitor reports.
• Communicate results with physicians promptly.
• Room patients and prepare for examinations and testing.
• Assist with patient flow and chart preparation.
• Manage scheduling and maintain patient records.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on equipment.
