Job summary

Mayo Clinic La Crosse seeks an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to provide coordinated patient care in the cath lab, including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult and geriatric patients.

You will handle pre-procedure preparation, post-procedure recovery, and be able to respond to emergencies. ARRT RCIS or RT credentials preferred; BLS and ACLS within 3 months. Join a dedicated team with opportunities for education and advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a health science program (cardiovascular technology or related)
• Prefer at least 1 year of cath lab experience
• Training and demonstrated competence in cardiac rhythm/arrhythmia recognition

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinated patient care in the cath lab for adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Handle pre-procedure prep, post-procedure recovery and emergency interventions.

Responsibilities

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech) provides coordinated patient care to adult patients requiring cath lab service including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes pre-procedure patient preparation, post-procedure recovery and emergency interventions. The Invasive CV Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients. Age of population served: Adult, Geriatric.

Qualifications

A graduate of a diploma,associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science(includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). Prefer at least one year of experience in a cardiac cath lab if not a graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology Program. Training and demonstrated competence in cardiac rhythm/arrhythmia recognition.
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist: ARRT – Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist, Radiography-Cardiovascular Interventional [RT(R)(CI)] or Registered Technologist, Radiography- Vascular-Interventional [RT(R)(VI)] credential required within 2 years of date of hire.
Basic Life Support required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 3 months of employment.
