Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician to perform electrocardiograms, treadmill and nuclear stress testing, and Holter monitoring within the Non-Invasive Cardiology department.

You will ensure accurate data collection, proper documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification, with responsibilities spanning patient prep, data recording, and staff training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association required.

Responsabilités

• Gathers relevant personal information from patient's record.
• Prepares and instructs patients on proper procedures.
• Transports portable electrocardiograph to hospital units and administers electrocardiograms to inpatients or outpatients in lab area.
• Performs stress/nuclear stress tests with treadmill and monitors tracings for abnormalities.
• Scans Holter Monitors and observes tracings for abnormalities.
• Ensures tests results are placed in proper physician reading box for interpretation.
• Maintains proper record keeping, data storage and retrieval.
• Maintains lab equipment cleanliness and lab area order.
• Trains hospital staff on EKG process and equipment.
• Attends staff meetings and reviews minutes if unable to attend.
