Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year RN experience required.
• Must be currently working in direct patient care. LVAD/Heart failure/CV Surgery experience preferred.
• Current RN license; BLS is required within 90 days post start date.
• Internal applicants should attach their three most recent performance appraisals.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care including pre-operative preparation, direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Coordinate with providers and care team; delegate patient care based on skill level and resources.
• Lead and mentor others; participate in quality improvement efforts within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model.
