Job summary
AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a Registered Nurse for the AHMG Cardiovascular Surgery unit. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment.
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, with coverage for Celebration office as needed. Requires Florida RN license and BLS; Bachelor’s degree preferred. This role offers avenues for professional growth and holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in Florida is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate them.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient information, care activities, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
- Respond to code situations promptly and provide necessary interventions.
- Ensure infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
