Job summary

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center’s Division of Cardiac Surgery is seeking a full-time, academic cardiac surgeon with interest in minimally invasive and/or robotically assisted mitral valve repair. The program performs about 1,500 cases annually, including complex valve and vascular procedures, with an active Valve Clinic and ECMO program.

Qualifications

• Academic appointment and teaching role with residents and medical students.
• Experience in cardiac surgery and collaboration with a collegial team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac surgeries including coronary revascularization and valve procedures.
• Contribute to teaching residents and medical students and participate in academic activities.
• Engage in research opportunities via the MaineHealth Institute for Research.
