Job summary

Maine Health is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Surgeon for its well-established program in Portland, Maine. The successful candidate will join a team of 7 skilled surgeons and have an academic appointment at the Maine Medical Center – Tufts University Medical School. Responsibilities include mentoring residents, engaging in minimally invasive and innovative surgical techniques, and participating in clinical research. Qualifications

• Well-trained cardiothoracic surgeon who would like to practice with a collegial group.
• Candidates with minimally invasive and/or robotically assisted mitral valve repair expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 6 adult cardiac surgeons and 1 congenital cardiac surgeon.
• Engage in academic appointment and mentoring surgical residents and medical students.
• Participate in research through the MaineHealth Institute for Research.
