Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth seeks a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technician for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You’ll join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, providing diagnostic and interventional support in a high-volume Cath Lab.

Position requires ARRT on hire with RCIS within 6 months if RCIS pathway chosen, plus BCLS/ACLS; experience in vascular/cardiac angiography preferred; sleep, call, and weekend commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology or related program with RCIS eligibility.
• “ARRT” licensure required on hire; RCIS within 6 months if RCIS program graduate.
• High school diploma with two years in invasive cardiology or equivalent experience.
• BCLS and ACLS certification required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• GMRT/LMRT are optional/preferred depending on ARRT RCIS pathways.

Work location:

Texas Health Fort Worth: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours:

Full-time (40 hours/week), day shift. Call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call), weekend and holiday requirements.

Department Highlights

Education

• Associate Degree in Applied Science required or
• Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required or
• High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years’ work experience in invasive cardiology required

Experience

• One (1) year vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred or
• Two (2) years’ experience with high school diploma required
• Two (2) years Cath Lab experience strongly preferred

Licensure And Certifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required and
• GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred or
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required and
• LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred or
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
