Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Venice, FL is seeking a skilled cardiovascular technologist to perform and assist with diagnostic procedures for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patients. The role includes initiating vascular studies and echo for adults and children, as well as exercise testing, using sound waves to support radiologic diagnosis.

Candidates should have five years of cardiovascular experience, and an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program degree

Qualifications

• Five years of pertinent cardiovascular experience.
• Graduate from Cardiovascular Technology program or AS/BS/AA degree.
• Registration in two cardiovascular specialties (RVT/RDCS/ACS) as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Perform cardiovascular diagnostic procedures on adults, geriatrics, and pediatric/adolescent patients.
• Initiate vascular and echo procedures for adult and pediatric patients, including exercise testing.
• Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment for radiologic diagnosis or intervention.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Job Summary

Performs and assists with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures on adult, geriatric, and pediatric and adolescent patients. Responsible for initiating all vascular, echo for adult and pediatric patients, and exercise testing procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis or intervention. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

• - Require five (5) years of pertinent cardiovascular experience.


• - Require graduation from a Cardiovascular Technology Program, or AS, BS, or AA degree.


• - Require registration in 2 cardiovascular specialties including vascular technology, cardiac sonography for adult, cardiac sonography for pediatrics by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RVT and RDCS), adult cardiac sonography, congenital cardiac sonography, vascular specialists, and advanced cardiac sonographer from Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS, RCS, RCCS, ACS).


• - Require training by the American Heart Association in BLS within thirty (30) days of hire date.
