Job summary

Mount Carmel seeks a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography and vascular testing across 12 locations, providing coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include accurate data entry, reporting preliminary findings, and collaborating with care teams. Requires ARDMS/CCI credentials or board-eligibility with certification within 12 months, and at least 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARDMS or CCI credentials as RVT/RDCS or RCS/RVS, or board-eligible with certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular testing per accreditation guidelines and report preliminary findings.
• Review physician orders, identify patients, and perform studies according to policy and standards.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort, and assist with patient transport as needed.
• Enter accurate health data in diagnostic systems and ensure report accuracy before dispatch.
• Collaborate with other departments and communicate pertinent patient data to the care team.
