Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Louisiana is seeking a skilled cardiovascular ultrasound technologist to perform routine, invasive, non-invasive and interventional ultrasound studies independently. Operate and maintain ultrasonographic equipment, review studies with physicians, document findings in the EMR, support patient flow and clinic operations, and participate in cross‑department staffing.

ARDMS or CCI registered (or registry-eligible) in vascular and cardiac ultrasound, BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound, radiologic technology, cardiopulmonary, or related program with ultrasound training.
• ARDMS or CCI registered (or registry-eligible) in Vascular and Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and normal vs. abnormal flow characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, advanced, invasive, non-invasive, and interventional cardiovascular ultrasound procedures independently.
• Operate and maintain ultrasonographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and blood flow data.
• Work closely with physicians to review studies, clarify findings, and support accurate diagnoses.
• Document studies thoroughly in the EMR and support patient flow.
• Support clinic operations through scheduling assistance, training, and cross-department staffing as needed.
