Job summary

UNC Health Care's UNC Medical Center Cardiology team in Chapel Hill is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform cardiovascular imaging, patient prep and post-procedure care, and data management. The role is full-time, onsite, with a day schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography or Radiology (or related field) within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of a 12‑month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
• ARDMS/CCI registry eligibility and registration within 1 year from hire; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in pre- and post-procedure patient care including CPR.
• Ensures equipment is calibrated and maintained daily and reports issues.
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures.
• May provide staff training and education.
• Records patient information and maintains data systems; prepares reports and charges.
• Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures.
