Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography or related field required within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
• ARDMS/CCI certification or registry eligibility with registration within 1 year from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care including CPR and emergency cardiac care.
• Ensures equipment is calibrated and properly maintained; performs maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular structures.
• May perform staff training and education.
• Monitors and records patient information and maintains report storage and data systems; prepares reports.
• Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and ensures timely room turnover between procedures.
