Job summary

American Heart Association in Dallas, TX (remote option) is seeking a Science and Medicine Advisor to guide science volunteers and help produce scientific statements, guidelines, and educational programs across domestic and international teams.

The role requires advanced clinical degrees, excellent writing and communication, and ability to manage multiple projects with volunteers; travel ~25% and not-for-profit environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or NP/PA with graduate degree and clinical experience in cardiovascular care.
• Minimum 3 years adult cardiology clinical experience; 8 years preferred.
• Superior writing and communication with publication history in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Guide science volunteers (clinicians, researchers, scientists) in creating scientific statements, advisories, guidelines, and conference programs.
• Provide consultation and approval on science aspects to internal staff for publications, websites, and press materials.
• Review content for Association professional websites and products.
