Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist – Outpatient to perform diagnostic imaging, position patients, and assist with IV contrast and other procedures.

The role requires ARRT registration, Virginia license, BLS-HCP certification, and strong communication and teamwork. Training and teaching students are part of the department's responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registered; Virginia license required.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic, CR, DR, and PACS equipment.
• Position patients to obtain quality images and administer IV contrast, urinary catheterizations, and other required procedures.
• Use RIS and electronic medical records for patient data management.
• Teach students and staff per department needs.
• Cross-train on laboratory waive testing equipment per CLIA regulations.
• Perform EKGs when trained.
