Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to apply the nursing process, provide patient care, and maintain accountability for the care of assigned patients. You will evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with other departments, and protect patient rights and confidentiality.

This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure). BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Missouri or compact state.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
