Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, ensuring accountability and coordinating care with other departments. The role emphasizes maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while adhering to Mercy Service Standards.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program background and an active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, along with BLS certification or completion soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
