Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS - Generic - HR Only preferred.
• CMA/National Certification - HR Only preferred.
• Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician - National Certification - HR Only preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills to work with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks, including bathing and dressing, assisting with toilet use if needed, and feeding.
• Assist with turning and repositioning patients and moving them between bed and wheelchair as needed.
• Listens to health concerns and reports them to nurses.
