Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Advanced Practitioners are invited to join our cardiology-focused team for weekend per diem coverage. The role emphasizes direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, collaborating with physicians to ensure seamless care.

Applicants should be an Acute Care NP with CT APRN licensure and national board certification. Cardiology experience is highly preferred, with ongoing mentorship and opportunities across Connecticut’s largest healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible to be certified National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical area (such as cardiology) required.
• Experience in cardiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting in collaboration with physician.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures in collaboration with a physician.
• Identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to the physician colleague.
