Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room nurse with 1–2 years of RN experience for a per diem unit-based role. The position requires circulating and scrubbing in the OR, with four 10-hour shifts every six weeks, including two weekend or night shifts and one holiday.

Responsibilities include assessing plans, implementing and evaluating nursing care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met across the patient

Qualifications

• 1-2 years RN experience required
• RN licensure in the state or a compact state required
• CPR certification (BLS/NRP) within 90 days required
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification within 12–15 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides autonomous, relationship-based nursing care using nursing process
