Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for Cardiovascular OR Prep and Recovery. The role focuses on managing and coordinating nursing care for pre-operative and post-anesthesia patients within the Ross Heart Hospital Operating Room Prep and Recovery unit.

The position requires an Ohio nursing license (or interim permit) and a nursing degree from a CCNE/ACEN accredited program, with a preference for a BSN.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from CCNE or ACEN accredited program is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from CCNE or ACEN accredited program is preferred.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit is required.
• 2 years of experience in relevant care setting is preferred.
• On-going: Maintains current Ohio RN license. Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care for patients.
• Directs and supervises nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Provides care aligned with the professional practice model and patient care goals.
• Supports pre-operative and post-anesthesia care in the OR Prep and Recovery unit.

Education

Degree in Nursing (CCNE/ACEN accredited program) - required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (CCNE/ACEN) - preferred
