Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine's HeartHealth program on the Upper East Side seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care within a leading cardiovascular imaging team. You will assess patients, order and interpret tests, and collaborate with physicians to implement treatment plans.

The position requires an MSN in Nursing, NYS NP and RN licenses, national certification, BLS, infection control, and DEA registration, with about 2+ years of NP experience in a hospital or clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master's of Science in Nursing is required.
• 2+ years of clinical NP experience in a physician practice or hospital setting preferred.
• New graduates with related RN experience may be considered.
• NYS NP license and current NP registration, NYS RN license and RN registration, national board certification, BLS, Infection Control Certificate, and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on outpatient and/or inpatient services.
• Evaluate patients by obtaining health histories and performing physical examinations.
• Order labs, imaging, diagnostics, and consultations; review results to plan care.
• Prescribe medications and therapies following standard of care.
• Educate patients and care providers on disease management and prevention.
• Document care in medical records in line with standards.
• Collaborate with specialists and physicians to optimize outcomes.
