Job summary

Carle Health in Champaign, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. You will administer oral medications, assist with IV piggybacks and dressings, and chart assessments and care plans after the RN completes the initial assessment.

This role emphasizes collaboration with RNs and UNLs, with a sign-on bonus of $2,500 for a 2-year commitment. The position offers a competitive hourly pay range from $25.73 to $41.87, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids, excluding IV Push meds.
• Charts assessments on assigned patients after RN initial assessment.
• Charts on care plans opened by RN.
• As needed will have RN open new care plans.
• Coordinates with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care.
• Complete dressing changes and trach care as needed.
• Insert and care for NG tube and feedings through NG tube.
• Care for and change ostomy.
• Reinforce education and discharge instructions.
