Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Part-time Cardiovascular Specialist for the Non Invasive Cardiology unit at Navicent Health Medical Center Baldwin. You will plan and document patient care per physician orders, monitor and record data, and support efficient, high-quality cardiovascular services on site.

The role requires at least two years of cardiovascular experience and an RCS credential or eligibility within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years or more experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or able to sit for certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, and documents services for Cardiovascular Lab patients in accordance with physician orders and policies; uses clinical judgment to plan care.
• Operate, monitors, records, evaluates and maintains patient information.
• Manage case volumes and patient care issues to ensure optimal outcomes; prioritize tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
• Ensure data reporting accuracy and notify physicians of variances and critical findings.
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance for lab equipment; initiate maintenance or service requests for malfunctioning devices.
• Perform daily room QCs, prepare lab space and equipment, ensure stock sufficiency and proper storage of patient care products.
• Document, retrieve and verify data for patient records.
• Pursue professional development and support staff training.
• Identify opportunities for clinical or operational improvements and comply with policies and safety standards.
